"Shirk" means "Association of partner with Almighty Allah" which is described as the highest sin in Islam. The concept on which the Hindu Philosophy stands, is "Divinity of Soul". According to Hindu Philosophy, God is the 'Supreme Soul' and from His own part, souls come and enter the demageable bodies. And so, we are actually "soul", not "body". And as the 'Supreme Soul' is God & God is eternal, so souls are also immortal (as the souls are the parts of God or 'Supreme Soul'). .
