Refutation to Buddhism...

(An Islamic Response to Buddhism)
.
.
We do not agree with Goutama Buddha who has actually imitated Vedic Philosophy. Let us observe why we can not accept Buddhism as a proper way.
.
Firstly, Buddhism is not Monotheism, it is Agnosticism, meaning Buddha did not comment on God. He did not say, either God exists or not. It is ambiguous. So, no clear cut decision can be taken from his theology.
Secondly, there is no logical proof or evidence of Buddha's claim. To understand this point, let us comment on Buddha's 'four noble truth'[1].
.
Buddha's first expression of truth is: we crave and cling to "dukkha" (দুঃখ) [pain, suffering etc.] and are incapable of being satisfied.
We agree that in this world, we can not be fully satisfied. But that does not mean that there is no existence of enjoyment. There is both joy and sorrow & when we go away from the submission and remembrance of Almighty God, we suffer from pain & sorrow. The real joy comes from submission & remembrance of One True God. Allah says in the glorious Quran,
.

"Those who have faith and whose hearts find peace in the remembrance of Allah - truly it is in the remembrance of Allah that hearts find peace"[2]
.
So Buddha's first truth is based on explanation only, that is not any proof at all.
.
.
Buddha's second truth is: the suffering puts us into "samsara" or endless cycle of birth & death.
What is the proof of endless cycle of birth and death? Modern Science has proved that this universe is not eternal, it had a beginning called "Big Bang".
.
It is mentioned in the book "The Grand Design":
.
**"The first actual scientific evidence that the universe had a beginning came in the 1920s.**
.
As we said in Chapter 3, **that was a time when most scientists believed in a static universe that had always existed.**
.
The evidence to the contrary was indirect, based upon the observations Edwin Hubble made with the 100-inch telescope on Mount Wilson, in the hills above Pasadena, California. By analyzing the spectrum of light they emit, Hubble determined that nearly all galaxies are moving away from us, and the farther away they are, the faster they are moving. In 1929 he published a law relating their rate of recession to their distance from us, and concluded that the universe is expanding. If that is true, then the universe must have been smaller in the past. In fact, if we extrapolate to the distant past, all the matter and energy in the universe would have been concentrated in a very tiny region of unimaginable density and temperature, and **if we go back far enough, there would be a time when it all began—the event we now call the big bang...."**[3]
.
Therefore the creation is not eternal, or in other words, "birth and death" in cyclical order is not endless. But if birth and rebirth is not endless, there is no logic of the existence of "samsara". Therefore Buddha's second truth is also based on back-dated explanation which is contradictory to today's modern science.
.
.
Buddha's third noble truth is: the way to get rid of the cycle of birth & death is called "Nivana" (নির্বাণ).
Again what is the solid evidence of "Nirvana"? There is no evidence or proof. There is only explanation and when we ask for evidence, the Yogi and Monk say to do meditation. But the experience of Meditation is also based on explanation and it can be explained from our point of view in different ways too. So, you can not present a single reasonable evidence in favour of "Nirvana." So, why we will accept your theology?
.
.
The fourth noble truth is: to get "Nirvana", one has to follow the 'eightfold path.'
So, it is also one type of explanation based on some moral practices. We can not get any proof or evidence from here.
.
*Therefore, Buddhism has failed to stand infront of proper Monotheism and has failed to disprove (Non-Vedic) Monotheism too.*
.
.

"Most of them follow nothing but conjectures. Surely, conjectures are of no avail in the matter of truth at all. Certainly, Allah is fully aware of what they do."[4]
