"Divinity of Soul" is nothing but a concept of "Shirk"....

"Shirk" means "Association of partner with Almighty Allah" which is described as the highest sin in Islam.

The concept on which the Hindu Philosophy stands, is "Divinity of Soul". According to Hindu Philosophy, God is the 'Supreme Soul' and from His own part, souls come and enter the demageable bodies. And so, we are actually "soul", not "body". And as the 'Supreme Soul' is God & God is eternal, so souls are also immortal (as the souls are the parts of God or 'Supreme Soul').

Bhagabat Gita says,
"Know that which pervades the entire body is indestructible. No one is able to destroy the imperishable soul."
(Bhagabat Gita 2:17)

From here, there starts the comparison of God with the Creation. Islam declares such thing as "Shirk" and describes it as the highest sin and the ultimate way of misguidance.

If the soul is the part of God, then He will not be the Creator at all, because He will then just transform His own portion, but will have no power to create out of nothing.

That's why Almighty Creator declares,

"Yet have they taken, besides Him, gods that can create nothing but are themselves created; that have no control of hurt or good to themselves; nor can they control death nor life nor resurrection."
.
(The Noble Quran, 25:3)

"Is then He Who creates like one that creates not? Will ye not receive admonition?"
.
(The Noble Quran, 16:17)

So, about the issues that the soul is not immortal, is just a creation of the Creator and can be destroyed by Almighty's wish, are responsed clearly by the Creator with the expression stated below:

"All that exists on the earth shall perish. Only your Lord, possessed of majesty and honor, shall endure for ever.
So, O jinn and men, which of your Lord's excellences will you deny?"
