Is Hijab an insult or honour to women???

Many sisters can not understand:

**Why Islam says for such a peculiar hijab!!**

**Why women are not free to express their beauty?**

**Is it not an insult to womenhood?**

Firstly, what you can get by showing your beauty?? I think, if you hate Islamic Hijab, then you are thinking about these two points:

=> Satisfaction
=> Praise

What does it mean?

I think you are thinking that 'if I beautify myself with my favourite fashionable style, I will be very happy for that.'

In other words, you are thinking that you will get mental satisfaction if you go out with your attractive outlook.

Then the next thing which is coming in your mind is that 'oh! People will look at me to see how fashionable I am! And if they praise to describe how beautiful I am, then...Oh, I can't imagine..!"

In other words, you may think that people will see your beautiful outlook and may sometimes praise you if it is possible.

That is all your mental inspiration. But can you yet think about the reality???

Suppose, you have an orange in your hand, you see it and you feel so yummy that you want to have that fruit. So you have that orange by taking out the inner portion.

Now apply it to the previous case. You go out with a very attractive outlook. A man may see you and get seriously attracted to you. He is not very good in character. He can not control his hormonal effect and starts following you. He gets a chance in a solitary place and snatches you and rapes you and then flees away.

Now please tell me, is it not a insult for you? I think, it is. Because he has enjoyed you in such way.

Now if the man enjoys you by raping, it becomes insult to you; then how can you say that it will increase your honour if the people see your attactive outlook??? Are they not enjoying you too when you are experessing beauty to them???

You may say, 'why you have such bad thinking in your mind!'

Whatever you say, but can you stop the natural hormonal effect? The pure thinking is psychological but the hormonal effect is physical. Can you ignore this???

Think about it.

Islam does not tolerate such kind of expression. While you are getting such mental satisfaction, you are actually satisfying your nafs(own-self or own desire). While you are running after your desire, the calmness of your mind turns into a desire, boastfulness and willfulness. Even the expression of your beauty to public becomes a source for impure sexual attraction which acts like fire.

This can not be any kind of 'Honour' for you.

If you buy an egg from market, you will break it in the kitchen as it is the suitable place.
Similarly, the perfect place to show your beauty is only to your married husband and not here and there to become like a consumary product.

Therefore, Hijab is not insulting you, but showing you the way to keep your modesty higher and uplift your dignity of womenhood. It's the way to be pure from both inside and outside. The way of getting respect instead of being an available thing for the enjoyment of the public.

Male has been created with a great attraction to female.
Female has been created as a great attraction to male.

Therefore it's the duty for male to control himself properly.
Therefore it's the duty for female to cover their beauty properly.

Running after the beauty is like to run after your desire. Addiction to beauty is nothing but the sickness of mind. Therefore it's the duty for both male and female to maintain their hijab properly.

Quran is saying about the Hijab of men first than the female:

"Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do.

And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof..."

(The Noble Quran, 24:30-31)

Now if you yet want to show your beauty to the common mass, Islam is giving you the option to become the consumer product too. Your deeds will be judged properly in the hereafter.

"There is **no compulsion in Faith**. The correct way has become distinct from the erroneous. Now, whoever rejects the Tāghūt (the Rebel, the Satan) and believes in Allah has a firm grasp on the strongest ring that never breaks. Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing."

(The Noble Quran, 2:256)
